My Latest Target $1 Section Finds – Planner Goodies & More!

My Latest Target $1 Section Finds -- Planner Goodies, Stickies + More! Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Originally I was just going to post a few photos from my latest Target trip to Instagram and be done with it, but I decided at the last minute that my latest Target finds deserved a post of their own. I got so many goodies for so CHEAP — cute stuff for my planner, plus a few random extras.

I was really excited to see all of the new items in the Target dollar+ section the other day, including tons of stuff for the holidays. With Thanksgiving just a few days away, I think it’s safe to say that the holiday season is now in full swing, so I’m perfectly okay with buying Christmas-y supplies for my planner, etc.

Glitter Clips

I’m not exactly sure what I’m going to use these silver clothespins for just yet, but I knew I had to have them when I saw the pretty glittery goodness for just $1. I think I might use them for some kind of holiday card-displaying project or something similar to that. When I come up with a really cool use for them I will definitely post about the DIY project here!

Target Sticky Notes 2-Pack for $1. My Latest Target $1 Section Finds -- Planner Goodies, Stickies + More! Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Sticky Notes 2-Pack, $1

I have so many sticky notes that have been accumulating in my room over the last year, many of which are from the Target $1 section. I use them in my planner, around my desk, in my daily diary (my separate daily planner book) and a bunch of other places … I definitely get a lot of use out of them, but I have kind of been avoiding buying any new sticky notes for a few months now just because I really, really, really don’t need them.

Well … I decided to suspend that little rule of mine when I saw the newest sticky notes at Target the other day. This pack (above) only cost $1 and it came with two note pads with pretty designs in mint, white and gold. There were a few different designs for the two-pack sticky notes and this is the one I happened to like the best.

Sticky Note + Page Flags Combo Pack, $1

The second sticky note set I bought was this “combo pack” that includes one square notepad with mint trim and four different page flags. Each sticky notepad in this pack contains 30 sheets and, for just $1, you really can’t find a better bargain than that! I’m pretty sure that this combo pack also came in a few different colors/designs, but I’m not absolutely positive about that. Either way, this set alone has a bunch of different colors to choose from for a good amount of color variety 🙂

Christmas Sticky Flags, $1

The third (and final) sticky note set I bought at Target was this adorable Christmas-y flags set. This pack (also only $1) comes with five different designs and contains 250 sheets total … another awesome buy. I’m going to use these to decorate my planner for Christmas; I plan on doing a holiday-themed calendar for December and I’m also going to use them on my weekly pages leading up to December 25th. They will also be great for other projects around the house and even for marking pages in recipe books for my mother’s great Christmas cookie bake of 2015. I am definitely looking forward to that 😀

Bracelet Set 4-CT, $3 at Target. My Latest Target $1 Section Finds -- Planner Goodies, Stickies + More! Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Bracelet Set 4-CT, $3

Target has lots of little gift sets in the dollar+ section right now, and I’m sure they will be adding even more in the coming weeks. I thought this bracelet four-pack was really cute and I just couldn’t say no to buying it for myself because it was only $3. There’s a lot of costume jewelry in the dollar+ section right now, like these bracelets, plus lots of sets and gifts for kids. These bracelets are kind of small, but I don’t think they’re meant for kids.

This set comes with one black and gold bangle bracelet, one black rhinestone-ish bracelet, one black beaded bracelet and one black shimmery beaded bracelet. I love how the four bracelets look tied together with the black ribbon, so I’m probably going to wear them just like that. They look really cute on my arm; a lovely (and super affordable) addition to any holiday outfit!

Adhesive Holiday Rhinestones 20 Count, $1 at Target. My Latest Target $1 Section Finds -- Planner Goodies, Stickies + More! Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Adhesive Holiday Rhinestones 20 Count, $1

The next items I picked up were these pretty adhesive rhinestones. I bought two different packs, which were $1 each: red, white and green Christmas rhinestones and snowflake-shaped rhinestones in different shades of blue. There were a few other designs in the dollar+ section but I don’t remember exactly what those designs looked like. I can’t wait to use these to decorate my planner for the holiday season, and I think I’ll pick up a few more packs in the coming weeks when I start doing some holiday DIY projects. I think these would look really cute on mason jars and I know a lot of people do mason jar projects for the holidays (myself included) so I’m going to test that out too!

Amberwood Scented Candle, $3 at Target. My Latest Target $1 Section Finds -- Planner Goodies, Stickies + More! Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Amberwood Scented Candle, $3

I have so many candles as it is, but it was really hard for me to pass this one up because it smells so good and the shimmery gold holder is just too pretty. Target has a bunch of different candles in their dollar+ section, including candles like this one in other scents and color votive holders (green, red, silver, etc. for the holidays), plus other types of candles in completely different colors, scents and holders.

I decided to go with this “Amberwood”-scented candle in the gold votive, mostly because of the color. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this candle because it was only $3 and I really didn’t think the scent would be that strong; I figured I would burn the candle until it was all done and then use the votive as some sort of decoration in my room. WELL … I was (very) pleasantly surprised to find that this candle not only smells wonderful but the scent is also strong enough to fill up my room. I was even able to smell it outside my room in the hallway and down the stairs a bit. Super happy about this candle!

iPhone 6 Case, $5 at Target. My Latest Target $1 Section Finds -- Planner Goodies, Stickies + More! Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

iPhone 6 Case, $5

The last item in this post wasn’t in the dollar+ section, but I still got it for a really great price ($5). I just got my new iPhone — I upgraded from the 5S to 6S, and I am soooooo in love with it! I ordered a custom-made phone case on Etsy a few weeks ago but it will still be at least a few more days before I receive it, so I had to get some kind of case to put on my new iPhone 6S in the meantime.

I REALLY didn’t want to be spending $20+ on a case at Target when I know I would be able to get a really cute one for a lot cheaper online … so I was super, super excited to see a whole display of $5 cell phone cases right at the check out aisle while I got on line to pay for my goodies. It was totally meant to be!

There were plenty of different cases at the check out for all different types of smart phones and they came in a variety of different colors and designs. My favorite one was this turquoise Aztec-y design with glittery gold at the bottom. The case is thin and you can’t expect it to completely protect your phone from crazy drops and such, but it is more than perfect for me right now while I wait for my custom case to arrive. I will probably be using this one even after my other case arrives and switch them both on and off because this one is super pretty 😀

So … That concludes my Target $1+ section finds post! There were so many other awesome goodies there that I didn’t buy, so this post is just a sample of some of the new items that Target has for the holiday shopping season. I can’t wait to go back and start my holiday shopping there (and elsewhere). This is the most wonderful time of year, afterall!

This month’s Ipsy Glam Bag theme was “Beauty Blast,” a “universe of brilliant beauties.” I have to say that even though the makeup bag might be a wee bit tacky, I am loving it anyway. I love the stars and galaxy stuff so I did a little dance as soon as I opened up my Ipsy package to see this bag 😀

The Ipsy “Glam Bag” makeup case for November

Every month Ipsy sends out a makeup bag to hold all of the monthly goodies, hence the “Glam Bag” name. I have been subscribed to Ipsy for a couple years now so my mini makeup bag collection just keeps growing, forcing me to give away many of the bags I receive because I really don’t need that many. I am definitely going to be keeping this month’s bag, though! It’s a great size for makeup brushes and other cosmetics and it fits in my purse perfectly, plus it has pretty shades of pink, purple and blue, so I know I will be getting a lot of use out of it.

ModelCo Highlighting Trio in “Champagne, Peach Bellini & Bronze”

ModelCo Highlighting Trio ($20; modelcocosmetics.com): A light-reflecting, cream-to-powder formula that glides on smoothly to “enrich the complexion.” This compact includes a luminizer to highlight cheekbones (“Champagne”), a satin-finish blush for cheeks (“Peach Bellini”) and a glowing bronzer to help contour and define (“Bronze”). I haven’t tried this out for real just yet but I tested it quickly and I found that it goes on very smoothly. I think I’m going to try it out later today!

SLMissGlam Boutique Blusher Brush

SLMissGlam Boutique Blusher Brush ($14.50; slmissglambeauty.com): A (very cute) pink, girly blush brush made with synthetic hairs for a “soft and luxurious” makeup application. This hand-crafted brush can be used for both blush and bronzer and it is cruelty-free. I haven’t tried this one out just yet and I really like the brushes I already have, but this one is pretty adorable so I will definitely be testing it sometime over the next few days.

Absolute New York Nano Liner review and photos. Ipsy Glam Bag November 2015 Review + Photos. Ipsy Glam Bag monthly beauty subscription box review. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Absolute New York Nano Liner

Absolute New York Nano Liner ($9.99; absolutenyproducts.com): An ultra-fine, felt-tip eyeliner that allows for “pin point precision.” This formula is water-resistant, fade-resistant and smudge-resistant, and it is paraben- and fragrance-free. I tried this out quickly the other night and I did notice that it was very easy to use; I’m going to test out the longevity of this liner later today.

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara review and photos. Ipsy Glam Bag November 2015 Review + Photos. Ipsy Glam Bag monthly beauty subscription box review. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara ($20; smashbox.com): Smashbox’s latest mascara formula that combines both lengthening and volumizing in one tube. This clump-free, flake-free formula was found to create a whopping 104% increase in lash volume, which is pretty amazing. I, myself, already love this mascara and I’m really happy that I received another deluxe-sized sample. I feel like I haven’t bought a full-sized mascara in ages because I’m always getting wonderful samples (and even full-sized tubes) in subscription boxes, gift sets, etc. So no complaints over here about this addition to the November Ipsy Glam Bag!

Coolway Stronghold Spray review and photos. Ipsy Glam Bag November 2015 Review + Photos. Ipsy Glam Bag monthly beauty subscription box review. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Coolway Strong Hold Spray

Coolway Strong Hold Spray ($19.95; coolwayhair.com): An “innovative volumizing spray” that controls humidity and fights frizz. I wasn’t really too crazy about this product because it has a more “wet” consistency than the type of hair spray I use (which is a very, very light spray). I did find it funny, though, that so many Ipsters hated this product just because of the outdated ’80’s-like packaging. That’s a great market research experiment on beauty product packaging, actually. I bet 75% (or more) of the people who said they didn’t like this product didn’t even try it out because of the way it looks. Well, maybe that’s a little unfair, but I think it’s pretty interesting. I don’t like the packaging either, by the way. ^_~

Subscription Box Breakdown:

This was an okay month for Ipsy — I didn’t really LOVE any of the products, except for the Smashbox mascara, which I already own. It’s really my fault that I got a less-than-spectacular Glam Bag because I haven’t been keeping up with my product reviews on the Ipsy website — the more I review received products, the more my Glam Bags will be curated to my specific brand and product likes. I did love the galaxy-inspired makeup bag this month though, so it was all worth it 😀

Yippeeeee my Pop Sugar Must Have box has arrived! The inspirations for November’s box were friends and family, gratitude, gifting and festivities … so basically a very Thanksgiving-y theme. There were a lot of great items this month, including an absolutely wonderful eyeshadow quad from Tarte (one of my favorites). Read on for more descriptions … !

Deepa Gurnani Katie Crystal Headband

Deepa Gurnani Katie Crystal Headband ($56; deepagurnani.com): This was one of my favorite items this month — a beautiful crystal headband that makes a lovely addition to any outfit. This headband was handcrafted in India and it has an elegant scalloped design with crystal detailing. I can’t wait to use this … especially on some not-so-great hair days, because I know it’s going to be an easy solution to make my hair look a lot prettier on those kind of days.

West Emory Bingo Set

West Emory Bingo Set ($20; westemory.com): This chic bingo set from the West Emory design studio gives a modern update to the classic game. This is actually a pretty cool thing to have, but whenever I do use it there’s going to have to be some kind of money stake involved …!

Capri Blue Mercury Jewel Box in Rain ($18.95; capribluecandles.com): This handblown mercury jewel box doubles as a candle and a jewelry holder. Once the candle burns out you can reuse the recycled glass box to hold jewelry and other keepsakes. This candle is super pretty and I love the smell — I have been burning it for the last few hours already and my room smells extra lovely.

Terrapin Ridge Farms Pecan Honey Mustard

Terrapin Ridge Farms Pecan Honey Mustard ($7.30; terrapinridge.com): A rich sauce that combines the flavors of pecans with the sweet tang of honey mustard. I haven’t tried this one out just yet, but I know it will be getting a lot of use in my household. I’m thinking of testing it out with some good ol’ homemade fried chicken fingers.

Tarte Cosmetics Beauty & the Box Eye Shadow in “Apple of My Eye”

Tarte Cosmetics Beauty & the Box Eye Shadow ($22; tartecosmetics.com): This was my absolute favorite product this month and definitely one of my favorite Pop Sugar Must Have products ever. I have really been loving Tarte eyeshadows lately and this new quad right here really adds to that shadow love. I received the “Apple of My Eye” quad which includes lovely neutral colors — two shimmer shadows and two matte shades. I tried it today and loved it — it was very blendable and very pigmented, but I really didn’t expect anything less.

I’m going to take photos of a few looks from this palette and post them to my Instagram. By the way, follow me on Instagram for extra photo goodies!

Gramr Gratitude Co. Exclusive Thanksgiving Postcard Pack

Each press-printed postcard has a different holiday/Thanksgiving-inspired image and plenty of room on the back to write a personal, handwritten note to friends and family.

Inkdot Gift Card

The last item in this month’s box was a special extra — a $20 giftcard to Inkdot, a service that turns your digital photos into prints, coasters, iPhone cases and more. A cool and easy personalized holiday gift idea.

Subscription Box Breakdown:

I thought this was a pretty good month for Pop Sugar Must Have. I didn’t love every item, but I really, really, really loved the Tarte eyeshadow and the jeweled headband, so that made up for the items that I wasn’t that crazy about. I also really love this candle and I can’t wait to use it as a jewelry holder — it’s way too pretty to not use it for something after it’s all burned out.

Pricing & Availability:

Pop Sugar Must Have is a monthly lifestyle subscription service that costs $39.95 per month with the option to purchase multiple months at a time for a lower monthly cost. To subscribe click here, or head over to musthave.popsugar.com for more information.

Week 46 Weekly Planner View (Nov. 9-15)

Week 46 Weekly Planner View (Nov. 9-15) for my Kikki K lilac personal planner. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

I seem to be stuck a week behind with these weekly planner posts, so I wanted to make sure it’s clear that this setup was for last week, Week 46 (November 9-15). I’m going to try really super hard to get the post up for this week’s planner setup sometime over the next couple of days so that I’m back on track and no longer lagging seven days behind!

Week 46 Weekly Planner View (Nov. 9-15) for my Kikki K lilac personal planner. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

I use a Kikki K lilac personal planner, which I love dearly. I don’t know what my life would look like without it and I honestly don’t know how I dealt without a real planner for so many years. I bought this planner last year around Christmas, so this exact color is no longer available, but there are plenty of other beautiful colors to choose from over at Kikki-K.com (my absolute favorite stationery site).

Week 46 Weekly Planner View (Nov. 9-15) for my Kikki K lilac personal planner. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

I couldn’t wait to use my new arrow washi tape some more — I used it to decorate the binding of my November calendar, but I didn’t get to use it nearly enough so I decided to use it as the main styling point for my Week 46 pages, choosing other stickers and tapes that matched it. I bought this tape from the MailboxHappiness shop on Etsy (~$4) and I love it! So many great colors to work with and a bunch of simple, yet adorable, little arrow designs. Yay.

The cute ice cream and cherries cutouts at the top are from the Kikki K Cute Paper Lover’s Book ($29.95; kikki-k.com), which is an awesome DIY book that’s jam-packed with pages of stickers, printed paper, tags, DIY paper projects and more.

The butterfly circle sticker on the bottom right is from the Kikki K Be Brave DIY Sticker Book ($19.95; kikki-k.com) and the little Kawaii bunny on the left is from a sticker pack I got at a Korean paper goods store in Flushing, Queens. Does this bunny have a name? I feel like I see it everywhere and I feel like a really bad aficionado of all things cute by not knowing the name … If anyone knows about this, please let me know ^_^

Week 46 Weekly Planner View (Nov. 9-15) for my Kikki K lilac personal planner. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

The circle quote sticker on the left is also from the Kikki K Cute Paper Lover’s Book ($29.95; kikki-k.com). Like I said, pages and pages of stickers and other paper goodies — an amazing book for any stationery addict, really. There are also a few different designs throughout the book so you get a lot of variety.

The adorable puffy fruit and cake stickers in the right corner is from the Kikki K Cute Soft Stickers 2PK ($3.95; kikki-k.com). These are definitely my favorite stickers at the moment — I bought two separate packs (each comes with two sheets) and then I got another pack for free, so I was really excited about that. I might get another pack before they become discontinued … They are definitely one of my favorite sticker sheets ever 😀

Week 46 Weekly Planner View (Nov. 9-15) for my Kikki K lilac personal planner. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

On this page I used some more stickers from the Kikki K Cute Soft Stickers 2PK ($3.95; kikki-k.com), as well as the Kikki K Cute Paper Lover’s Book ($29.95; kikki-k.com). I also had to add another random Kawaii bunny to even it out, of course.

I am obviously Kikki K obsessed, but I swear I do get planner supplies from other places (especially Etsy, Target and Michael’s … the usual culprits). This obviously doesn’t help my case, but the last item on this page, the To Do list sticky note, is also from Kikki K. I think this one is currently discontinued, but they do have a bunch of other sticky notes and To Do list pads over at Kikki-K.com.

If anyone is curious, the other tapes I used this week were from Scotch brand (the gold glitter), and from the Target $1 section (the peach-ish tape with white dots). I am obsessed with washi tape, like most other planning gals, so I have this seemingly endless supply that I just keep adding to every time I find a new tape that I like (which has been nearly once a week for the last few months).

Anyway, thank you for reading! I am going to try to get this week’s planner setup (Week 47) up before the end of the week, and start off with a new schedule where I’m not trailing behind 😉

November 2015 Monthly Planner Setup

November 2015 Monthly Planner Setup for my Kikki K lilac personal planner. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

I had a few stickers left over from decorating my planner for Halloween last month, so I decided to use whatever I could for my November pages, giving them a bit of a fall-inspired “theme.” I can’t believe we are coming to the end of 2015! I’m not trying to rush it or anything, but I’m super excited to deck out my December pages next month for Christmas.

I’m not sure if I will be using this planner again next year or get a new one from Kikki K … I love this one so much, but there’s nothing quite like unboxing a brand-new planner to start off your brand-new year. I get excited just thinking about it 😀 I am currently using a lilac Kikki K personal planner. This color is no longer available (I got it last year right around this time), but there are a ton of other pretty colors and designs, and new ones are constantly being added as the old ones get “retired.”

I took these November photos before adding things like holidays (Thanksgiving), birthdays and other events, but next month I plan on showing how I add these things to the calendar, including the use of sticky notes, page markers, etc.

As usual, I used a bunch of stuff from Kikki K and Michael’s to decorate my planner this month. I used the Wooden Alphabet Stamp Set from Kikki K ($19.95; kikki-k.com) to write the month and year at the top of the November calendar, and I use it every other month as well. I think I got this stamp set for Christmas last year and it’s still going strong, albeit a bit messy, but I haven’t had to switch out the ink pad yet or anything. I thought this set was a really good investment because it makes things stand out more and it looks a lot neater than my regular handwriting. Alphabet stickers could also get the job done, and I am certainly not above using those either … !

The quote sticker on the left-hand side is from the Kikki K Inspiration DIY Sticker Book ($19.95; kikki-k.com). I absolutely love Kikki K’s DIY sticker books … obsessed, even. They are filled with pages of stickers — large, small, shapes, tags, sealers, etc. — and they are perfect for decorating pretty much anything. Most of the sticker books even include paper gift tags that you can use when wrapping a present … although I use these mostly as page markers and decoration in my planner. They’re awesome.

The little pinwheel-looking thing on the left side is part of a Halloween sticker set that I bought at Michael’s. The set came with these pretty pinwheel things that have a jewel in the center, and since some of the colors were fall-appropriate (and not just for Halloween) I decided to use a couple that were left over on my November calendar.

The leaves on the right-hand side are also from Michael’s. These stickers were way too pretty to pass up — each leaf sticker is adorned with the perfect amount of glitter and they come in a few different sizes in a variety of fall colors. I found this sticker sheet in the holiday stickers section at Michael’s, so they are available year round. Paper House Autumn Leaves 3D Stickers ($2.99; michaels.com).

This quote sticker is also from the Kikki K Inspiration DIY Sticker Book ($19.95; kikki-k.com). The pinwheel in the right corner is from the same Halloween sticker set I bought at Michael’s, and the hearts and diamonds are from a Kikki K sticker sheet that I bought last year, which is no longer available. I love these stickers so much so I bought at least four different packs (each with two sheets) before they got discontinued.

This quote card is from the Kikki K Be Brave Large Planner Dashboard Starter Kit ($19.95; kikki-k.com). I have a bunch of quote cards from Kikki K that I have acquired over the last year; many of them come in sets like this, I got a bunch for free and the rest I bought outright so I can use them on my vision board or in my planner. I decided to use this card for November because the size of it fit perfectly around my other stickers/decorations and the simple gold foil coloring matches wonderfully.

I do just want to add that I have some non-Kikki K quote cards too, many of which are also very beautiful … I’m saying this because it’s becoming very apparent that I’m a Kikki K junkie. I swear these aren’t the only products that I use for DIY planning/decorating! I think one of the reasons I am so obsessed with Kikki K is because they don’t have a store here in the US (yet!!), so the company is still very new and exciting to me. Much love to Kikki K for satisfying my stationery addiction. 😀

The fall-inspired stickers on the right-hand side are from another sticker pack that I bought at Michael’s, which are also available year-round in the holiday sticker section. Jolee’s Boutique Autumn Stickers ($3.99; michaels.com).

The little flower stickers on either side of the year, along with the blue “love” sticker to the left of them, are from another discontinued sticker pack from Kikki K. The glitter leaves are from the Paper House sticker sheet I got at Michael’s and the “Be You” sticker is also from the Kikki K Inspiration DIY Sticker Book.

One last note that I want to add … the super cute arrow washi tape that I used on the binding edges of the paper is from MailboxHappiness shop on Etsy. I could spend all day browsing through Etsy for washi tapes and other planner goodies (sometimes I actually do) … I was really happy with this find, though. The tape is adorable, with a bunch of different colors (perfect for matching a variety of other washis) and the shipping was pretty fast. So yay for Etsy as always 😀

I’m going to be posting my weekly planner pages for this week next. Thank you for stopping by!

I say this about almost all of the subscription boxes I receive, but really, Glossybox is one of my favorites and I am always looking forward to it each month. I didn’t think this month’s Glossybox was the best one ever, but it definitely wasn’t bad either.

I really like discovering different brands through my Glossybox subscription, many of which are British or other European brands that I haven’t really heard of, and I find that the products are almost always wonderful. I also love that Glossybox sends out great item sizes — there are often full-sized items as well as deluxe-sized samples, which allows you to get a bunch of uses out of a product. This is always better than single-use samples (in my very humble opinion), which never really give me a real feel for the product.

flora-py Arnica Rose Floral Therapy Facial Sheet

flora-py Floral Therapy Facial Sheet ($8 for .80 oz.; florapybeauty.com): I’m loving the packaging for this facial mask and I will hopefully be using the mask later on tonight. These facial sheets combine “ultimate hydration” with aromatherapy, creating an at-home spa experience for every skincare need. Each mask is soaked in powerful flower ingredients plus essential oils,  and addresses a different skin concern. I received the “arnica rose” mask, which is infused with rose aromatherapy (yay), combats puffiness, promotes clean pores and provides rich hydration. Yay for at-home spa treatments 😀

Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Creme review and photos. Glossybox November 2015 Review + Photos. Monthly beauty subscription box review. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Creme

Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Creme ($50 for 1.0 oz.; esteelauder.com): The November Glossybox included a lovely deluxe-sized sample of Estée Lauder’s cult-favorite daily moisturizer. I’ve used Estée Lauder creams before and I do have to say that they really work as well as everyone says they do (or, at least, mostly everyone). I haven’t used this particular cream but my mom was pretty happy to see it in my Glossybox so I passed it along to her. This daily moisturizer curbs the first signs of aging and combats fine lines, dullness and dehydration with its “breakthrough IntuiGen Technology” that helps to reactivate the skin’s own revitalization.

Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow in You're Toast review and photos. Glossybox November 2015 Review + Photos. Monthly beauty subscription box review. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow in You’re Toast

Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow ($24 for 0.47 oz.; marskcosmetics.com): This next item is from one of those international brands that I’ve never heard of before, and I really am liking it already. Mineral eyeshadows are usually not my favorite formula, but this one is extremely pigmented and applies very evenly with minimal fallout (I usually don’t do well with shimmery messes). This eyeshadow features a creamy texture and I received it in “You’re Toast,” which is described as a “golden, sand-swept tone.” It looks great for both day and evening wear and is “flattering for every complexion.” I can’t wait to try this one out with full makeup on.

Beauty For Real D-Fine Perfect Lip Pencil

Beauty For Real D-Fine Perfect Lip Pencil ($14 for .012 oz.; beautyforreal.com): A flesh-tone lip liner that naturally defines the shape of your lips by enhancing your lip size “without a trace.” This pencil comes in one universal color that works with all skin tones and lipgloss/lipstick shades, and takes the guesswork out of picking the perfect liner color. I haven’t tried this out yet but I love a good, fuss-free lip liner, so I’m definitely excited to see how it works.

Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy review and photos. Glossybox November 2015 Review + Photos. Monthly beauty subscription box review. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy

Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy ($22 for 3.52 oz.; crabtree-evelyn.com): I’m gonna be a bit bold here and say that this is hands-down one of the best hand creams I have ever used, and I have used a LOT throughout the years. I actually can’t believe I never tried this one before, but I think I’m hooked. I’m especially happy because Glossybox sent out another fantastic “sample” size for this product, and this 0.9-ounce tube can easily fit into any of my handbags. This hand cream is “brimming with nourishing ingredients” which include macadamia nut oil, seaweed and algae extracts, and vitamin E. As a special bonus, it hydrates and rejuvenates skin without using parabens, sulfates or mineral oil.

I love, love, love this cream and I’m so glad it was in my Glossybox this month!

Subscription Box Breakdown:

Not my favorite month for Glossybox, but I definitely don’t think it was bad in any way. All of the items were pretty top-notch, and I am so glad that I was able to discover this awesomeness in a tube from Crabtree & Evelyn. I have a feeling that my happy hands will be extra moisturized all winter long with this stuff. So thank you, Glossybox!

Julep Maven November 2015 Review + Photos. Monthly nail and beauty subscription box review. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

I received my Julep Maven box for November a couple of days ago and yay — I loved it. I chose three add-ons this month so I got one item for free, and then Julep threw in a surprise nail color for all Mavens, which was another freebie … so I received 8 products in total, plus a yummy caramel apple lollipop. Really good month for Julep, in my opinion.

Julep Nail Color in Cheyenne (top) and Kris (bottom)

These two nail colors were both part of my core box (which came with three products this month — two nail colors, plus Julep’s new beauty product). I chose:

Julep Nail Color in Cheyenne ($14 or $11.20 for Mavens, 0.27 oz.; julep.com): A shimmery deep auburn red in Julep’s newest finish — matte metallic. I haven’t tried this one out yet but I thought it looked really pretty and I really wanted to try out this new finish, which sounds like a very intriguing oxymoron.

Julep Nail Color in Kris ($14 or $11.20 for Mavens, 0.27 oz.; julep.com): This shade is Julep’s “Wonder Maven” color of the month — a shade that’s named after an inspiring woman, the “Wonder Maven.” This is a really pretty shade and I honestly don’t really have that many silver-y nail polishes so that’s why I picked it. It is described as an “arctic iridescent chrome” with a metallic/chrome finish.

Julep What Your Skin Needs Restorative Facial Milk

This item is Julep’s newest beauty product that debuted with the November Maven collection. I’ve been using it since I got it, day and night, and I really like the results so far. Of course, as it is with any skincare product, I really need to use it for a few more weeks to see how well it works, but I love the fact that I am already beginning to see results, plus it feels wonderful on my skin. It’s also a great way to get my skin ready for the inevitable cold, dry weather that will be arriving soon enough.

Julep What Your Skin Needs Restorative Facial Milk ($38, currently on sale for $28, 1 oz.; julep.com): A lightweight “facial milk” that is infused with a five-oil blend to “treat, hydrate and replenish skin” while absorbing completely into your skin in under 10 seconds. The oils included in this formula are: Olive oil for softness; Jojoba oil to heal and lock in hydration; Argan oil to repair and replenish skin with essential fatty acids; Coconut oil to calm skin; and Squalane, a plant-derived oil that absorbs rapidly and helps the entire blend go deeper into the skin.

Julep Nail Color in Janice (top) and Eliana (bottom)

I chose Janice as one of my add-ons this month and I received Eliana as a freebie. Julep will send a free gift if you choose three or more add-ons for the month. Usually I think it’s quite worth it and I’m really surprised that I haven’t received any repeat colors lately as freebies … And I’m certainly not complaining about it. It’s great!

Julep Nail Color in Eliana ($14 or $11.20 for Mavens, 0.27 oz.; julep.com): This shade is a lovely dark blue, with an almost hint of grey. It’s described as a “soft denim crème” with a crème finish. I think this color is great for the fall and winter — I love blues that can easily be worn for work or other professional-related things where you might prefer to look more “toned down” (not like I usually care about that kind of stuff, but I know there are plenty out there who – understandably! – do care).

Julep Nail Color in Janice (top) and Eliana (bottom) review and photos. Julep Maven November 2015 Review + Photos. Monthly nail and beauty subscription box review. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Julep Nail Color in Janice

Julep Nail Color in Janice ($14 or $11.20 for Mavens, 0.27 oz.; julep.com): The photo above really doesn’t do this shade justice. I tried to get a good swatch photo, I really tried, but the lighting wasn’t great (I think it was raining the day I took it) and, even though it’s still on my nails and almost perfect-looking, it’s slightly chipped in some places so I don’t really feel like re-doing my nails just to take another photo.

ANYWAY … I love this polish. I really, really love it. I usually don’t like glitter-y polishes but this is way different than most “glitter” shades I have ever seen. The glitter is so pretty and fluid-like, a perfect continuous glitter composition. This shade can also be worn to work or professional functions (in my opinion) — I seriously cannot believe how versatile it is. Maybe I sound like I’m going a little overboard with my love for this color, but I really couldn’t believe how much I liked it, especially because of the fact that I generally don’t like glitter polishes. This shade is described as a “Carnival full-coverage microglitter” and it has a reddish base, with multi-colored glitter that all flows together beautifully.

Julep Nail Color in Melody

This polish was a freebie that Julep added to all Maven boxes this month. It looks super cool and I can’t wait to try it out. I think I’m going to use it over the blue color above (Eliana) for a cosmic-y effect 🙂

Julep Nail Color in Melody

Julep Nail Color in Melody ($14 or $11.20 for Mavens, 0.27 oz.; julep.com): This shade is described as an “Iridescent high gloss glitter top coat.” It’s a really pretty translucent lilac with silver glitter, mixed with shades of purple and blue. You have to seriously shake the bottle to get all the glitter mixed in to become one solid polish. Pretty and fun! Again, can’t wait to use this one.

Julep Oxygen Smoothing Base Coat review and photos. Julep Maven November 2015 Review + Photos. Monthly nail and beauty subscription box review. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Julep Oxygen Smoothing Base Coat

I added this base coat to my November Maven box as an add-on because I am pretty much all out of the base coat I have been using. I didn’t realize that I was using Julep’s bonding base coat, and I ordered the smoothing one instead, but I really think I like the smoothing one better, even after just one use! The nail polish that I used on top of it (the glitter-y Janice, above) has stayed put with extremely minimal wear and tear; the only spots on my nails that are a little bit un-polished are the very tippy top, and you can hardly notice it (unless you’re looking). Needless to say, I am impressed. Love Julep’s base coats.

Julep Oxygen Smoothing Base Coat ($18 or $14.40 for Mavens, 0.27 oz.; julep.com): A “perfecting, hydrating base coat” that contains Oxygen Technology and smoothing silica minerals. It allows oxygen to permeate the nail bed, which encourages strong and healthy nail growth; it helps color last longer (while preventing it from staining your nails); and it works with Julep’s polishes to “create a long-wear system that lets your nails breathe.”

Julep Golden Angle Nail Wraps review and photos. Julep Maven November 2015 Review + Photos. Monthly nail and beauty subscription box review. Photo copyright 2015: Sugarglow makeup, beauty, lifestyle, fashion, diy, etc. blog. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

Julep Golden Angle Nail Wraps

The last item in my November Maven box were these gold zig-zaggy nail wraps. There are usually new nail wraps each month that you can choose to add to your Maven box, but most of them aren’t available for sale regularly. That seems to be the case with this set of wraps. I royally messed up the Halloween nail wraps I got from Julep last month, but I got a bunch of compliments on them anyway, so I’m curious to see how these will turn out.

Subscription Box Breakdown:

My November Maven box was another hit. Maybe not as great as the October box, but definitely still awesome. I loved all the polishes, plus the free polish I got for choosing three add-ons and the glittery lilac top coat that every Maven got as a freebie this month. The new beauty product this month, the facial “milk”, was also pretty sweet … I can’t wait to see what kind of results I’ll be getting after using it for a few more weeks.
