Last month was my first month of receiving the new Chicky Quicky subscription box and I really loved it! I think this month’s box was even better so I am going to stand by the statement I made in last month’s Chicky Quicky post that this is definitely my new favorite subscription box. This month’s box was awesome I’m so happy with it!
Chicky Quicky debuted a few months ago (I think in November or December) as a jewelry/accessories/fashion and beauty subscription box. It was created by Patty Barba, the owner of the Patty’s Closet boutiques in Las Vegas (and I think there are a few other locations). Chicky Quicky features a bunch of items from Patty’s Closet — jewelry and accessories — plus items from other brands.
I love how Chicky Quicky features little-known independent shops and brands as well as products that are handmade and/or have natural ingredients. This is a great box for people who love finding new products and brands through subscription boxes. I myself have never heard of these brands before so I think it’s wonderful that Chicky Quicky is giving them exposure. Lots of great stuff here!
Feeling Smitten Cupcake Bath Bombs ($5.50 for mini or $11 for large; feelingsmitten.com): This bath bomb is so adorable and yummy-looking I almost don’t even want to use it. I received the “Lemon Cream Pie” bath bomb in my Chicky Quicky box and I don’t see this exact one available on the Feeling Smitten website, but there are a bunch of other flavors that look just as cute and delicious. This company makes a variety of sweet-looking bath and body products and I kind of feel like buying one of everything now that I’ve seen the website. Each moisturizing bath bomb has its own sweet scent and they are paraben- and sulfate-free.
I am totally loving this set of rings from Patty’s Closet. They came in a set of four that can be worn together or individually, and they’re the perfect gold color that matches so many of my other favorite jewelry pieces.
Unfortunately Patty’s Closet doesn’t have an online store so I can’t find these rings online, but the next time I go to Las Vegas I am definitely hitting up a Patty’s Closet store! Patty’s Closet originated in Las Vegas, where there are multiple locations, and they even won awards for the Best of Las Vegas for the last few years in a row.
There aren’t any Patty’s Closet locations in New York by me, but there is one in New Jersey and some other locations across the US. Check out their website at ilovepattyscloset.com to see if there is a location near you.
This is the second cute jewelry item from Patty’s Closet in this month’s Chicky Quicky box. I don’t really have or wear cuff bracelets but I actually like this one, I think it’s a little more delicate and less chunky-looking than a lot of other cuff bracelets I’ve seen. I also love how it’s in my favorite gold accessory color, so, just like the rings, I have plenty of jewelry that I can wear with it. I’m definitely going to be using this one too!
This super cute coin purse is by Love & Sunshine, a brand that makes all handmade bags and accessories. I absolutely love the idea behind this company and I love how Chicky Quicky features little-known brands like this one (or at least they’re little-known to me). I can’t find a website for Love & Sunshine and the tag on the coin purse gives a Twitter handle, @loveandsunshineHI, but it looks like that username doesn’t exist. Not sure what this is all about but when I do find this company somewhere on the interwebz I definitely want to check out their other products!
Palate Polish Nail Color in Cherry Tomato ($9.50 for 0.5 oz.; palatepolish.com): This nail polish is from a Portland, OR-based company that makes a “small batch, 5-free and vegan line” of nail colors. This polish brand is also new to me and their whole line consists of polishes with food-inspired names. There’s a lot of pretty and cool-looking colors on their website and I’m going to try the “Cherry Tomato” color I received later on tonight!
The last item in this month’s Chicky Quicky box was definitely my favorite. I am in LOVE with this turquoise necklace and earrings set from Patty’s Closet! I wish I got a better picture (I’m still learning), because the turquoise color is a lot brighter in person — and it’s one of my favorite colors for the spring! This piece is adorned with sparkly rhinestones and a pop of orange that stands out against the turquoise. Also, this piece goes perfectly with the gold cuff bracelet and rings that were also in this month’s box.
I usually don’t like matching necklaces and earrings because I feel like it’s too much of the same thing … but these turquoise drop earrings are perfect! They’re so simple, small and cute that they don’t make the whole jewelry set look too loud at all and they also have the same gold plated background so they match so many of my other necklaces as well. I have been wearing this set non-stop since I got my March Chicky Quicky box — it’s definitely something I would have bought for myself if I saw it in a store.
Subscription Box Breakdown:
This is my second month of receiving the new Chicky Quicky box and I have loved both boxes so far — I like this one for March even better than last month’s box! i can’t wait to try out the bath bomb and the nail polish and I have already been wearing most of the jewelry items. My favorite product by far this month was the turquoise statement necklace and the earrings that go along with it. Lots of great stuff this month!
Pricing & Availability:
Chicky Quicky is a monthly beauty and fashion subscription service with a few different price and box options. I paid $35 for the “Chicky Quicky” monthly box, but there are a few other options that give you more or less products for a higher or lower cost.
