Welcome to Sugarglow! Amanda's blog for all her favorite things, including: beauty, reviews, monthly subscription boxes, beauty boxes, fashion, makeup, hair, skincare, jewelry, accessories, DIY, food, recipes, etc. www.sugarglowbeauty.com.

That’s me, Amanda, on the right, with my best friend Natalia this past New Year’s Eve (2014).

Hi! I’m Amanda. Welcome to my blog. This blog is a an updated version of my old makeup and beauty blog, Hush Beauty/Sugarglow. I took a long break and came back to a non-existant database and lost content, so I decided to start over fresh and incorporate more elements of the things I love into my makeup-obsessed home on the web like fashion, DIY and more.

It’s basically an Amanda-themed blog — everything I love (mostly makeup and beauty), photos, outfits, favorite blogs, etc. I am also going to review all of the monthly (and bi-monthly) subscription boxes I receive … I started out subscribing to these beauty/fashion/lifestyle/DIY boxes a few years ago and it has branched out into somewhat of a sick obsession. What better way to document that than on my own blog, right? -_-

I am a college graduate with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Journalism. I was on track to receive my second B.A. in Journalism but life (and a real job) got in the way, so I actually fell just one class short of receiving my second B.A. What I’m trying to say is: I am still very much well-trained in the field of journalism. And I even have (non-physical) battle wounds to prove it.

I am a writer, first and foremost, and have worked and interned at a few newspapers and other publications. Right now, I am sort of at a crossroads in my professional life. Or at least I feel like I am. I am currently pursuing the certificate program in Paralegal Studies at Hofstra University, with hopes that it will open more doors for me in my career path. I would like to start my own business (sooner than later), so this certificate is definitely a step in the right direction.

I have so many interests – I change my mind every single day on what I truly “want to be when I grow up” — and that’s probably why I have studied a bunch of different subjects. This blog will definitely reflect most of my more material interests (as stated above), and basically will contain anything that I think is worthy of blogging about.

I’m actually glad that my database got accidentally deleted — it gives me a chance for a real, fresh start … and this time I will make sure to backup all of my content properly! Thank you so much for visiting ! And please excuse the lack of content while I work on getting everything up and running once again.
