I was soooo excited to see this month’s Glossybox and I have to say it really is one of the best ones I have seen in awhile, it might even be my favorite. I am soooo in love with the box design this month and I can’t wait to figure out how I’m going to use it/display it around my room.
Glossybox’s limited edition box design this month was Valentine’s Day-themed and so were all of the items in the box. I took a bunch of photos of the actual box this month (which I don’t usually do) just because it was so pretty.
It was a little hard for me to open up the box because I just loved the way everything was packaged. Glossybox always has their tissue paper plus a ribbon wrapped around the products inside the box, but I was loving the pink and white paper this month and I can’t wait to figure out how I’m going to use this hot pink ribbon!
I love the middle of the month — when pretty much all of my subscription boxes arrive right around the same time. I’m also loving the pink/red/love/hearts/girly Valentine’s-themed boxes I’ve been seeing, so this month I’m a little more excited than usual for my subscription boxes to show up at my doorstep.
I’ve been getting pretty awesome Birchboxes lately so I was kind of surprised to find this month’s was kinda meh … Also, this is my third February as a Birchbox subscriber and I remember liking the last two February boxes a lot better. Birchbox sends out products each month based on the Birchbox beauty profile that you fill out when you first subscribe to the service, so not all of the boxes are exactly the same.
Julep Maven February 2015 – The Afterglow Collection
Hello everyone and happy New Year! I might be a little late with the new year’s wishes but this is actually my first post of 2015 so the wishes seemed appropriate. I’ve had so much going on lately that it was hard to find time to blog, but now that my work life has calmed down I plan on writing posts a lot more consistently.
I received a $40-off coupon in my October Pop Sugar Must Have box to try out a pretty cool-looking food subscription service called Hello Fresh. Since I am addicted to subscription boxes I naturally jumped on the opportunity to try it out. I also thought it was pretty unique, and definitely unique to me personally because I’m not currently subscribed to any food subscription boxes. I figured there was no harm in trying it out and the $40-off coupon made it cheap enough that I wouldn’t care about the money lost if I ended up hating it (I spent $29 total).
Glossybox is one of my favorite beauty subscription services. They feature more “high-end” prestige makeup and beauty brands and, since they first started in the UK, they send out a lot of products from the UK and other European brands (which I LOVE).
