I always look forward to my Pop Sugar Must Have box every month because it’s always jam-packed with sweet stuff … all full-sized items ranging from makeup to fashion, home decor and even food. This month’s box was pretty cool, but nothing really blew me away, except for the Too Faced eyeshadow palette, which alone made the whole box worth it, especially value-wise (the box costs about $40/month and the Too Faced palette costs $36).
Every Pop Sugar Must Have box comes with a card detailing every item sent out that month and a message from Pop Sugar Founder and Editor-In-Chief LIsa Sugar.
Fresh Pastry Stand Totally Awesome Tea Towel Set (left) and NatureBox Pop Sugar Must Have Mix (right)
The first item this month was a cute set of dish towels that I really don’t need … but I’m passing them along to my BFF and her awesome roommate because I know they will definitely put them to use.
Fresh Pastry Stand Totally Awesome Tea Towel Set ($18 for two dish towels; etsy.com/shop/freshpastrystand) are a set of dish towels that are handmade from a water-based ink and completely lint-free, each with a bold graphic print.
I couldn’t really get a good photo of these towels, but I did take a photo of the card that came with this month’s Pop Sugar box and it shows how these towels look when they are folded properly, showing the “Totally” and “Awesome” prints (above).
The next item was the “Must Have Food” item of the month: a trail mix from Nature Box created exclusively for Pop Sugar. Pop Sugar Must Have often includes healthy, good-for-you snacks in their monthly boxes and I usually enjoy them. This one was okay … It was kind of bland, but it’s great for extra nutrients and an energy boost mid-day. I think they should have added another fruity element, perhaps dried apricots or something, just to round it out. They kinda skimped on the dried cranberries in this bag and if they added more of them it really would have made the mix a lot yummier.
Nature Box Pop Sugar Must Have Mix ($5 for 4.5 oz.; naturebox.com/popsugar) is a custom trail mix created exclusively for Pop Sugar Must Have. This specific mix isn’t available online, but you can join Nature Box for $19.95/month and receive a bunch of healthy snacks each month. This mix was a “balanced medley” of almonds, soybeans, corn and cranberries and, like all Nature Box snacks, it contains no artificial colors or flavors, no corn syrup and no hydrogenated oils.
Blue Avocado (Eco) Shopper
This super cute shopping bag, created by Lauren Conrad, conveniently folds up into a wallet-sized zipper pouch and then you can unzip it and it will fold out into a full-sized (rather large) shopper (below). The design is super cute and I am loving the mint green color for spring, so I will definitely put this item to use.
Blue Avocado (Eco) Shopper
Blue Avocado (Eco) Shopper ($25; blueavocado.com) is a “collapsible tote” made from upcycled plastic bottles that is “perfect for carrying just about anything.” It’s really big .. so it can definitely carry a lot, and the design is super cute. Plus, it’s made from 50% post-consumer recycled bottles and 1% of profits goes to ocean research and conservation.
This palette from Too Faced is awesome and it totally made the whole April Pop Sugar Must Have Box worth it, especially value-wise. I actually was never really a big fan of Too Faced eyeshadows, but these are wonderful and the whole palette includes great shades that are perfect for day-to-night wear.
Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette ($36 for nine eyeshadows; toofaced.com) contains nine blendable, neutral eyeshadow shades for “every age and skin tone.” This palette comes with a “Glamour Guide” that shows you how to use the shadows for three different looks and three of the shadows are brand-new Too Faced shades. I was pretty impressed with this palette — pretty neutrals that blend really well and look great for any type of event, school, work, etc. for both day and night.
Graphic Image Pocket Notes (left) and Caldrea Rosewater Driftwood Hand Soap (right)
I’m a writer and I’m constantly taking notes and jotting things down everywhere I go so I love it when I receive a new notebook. I always get excited even buying new notebooks for myself since I’m such a nerd so it’s even more exciting when I get surprised by one in a subscription box. This little notebook is the perfect size for on-the-go note-taking and it has pretty little pages with a silver trim and a ribbon so that you can bookmark whatever page you like. This particular notebook was designed exclusively for Pop Sugar, but you can purchase the same size and personalize it with whatever word, initials or saying you want printed on the front.
Graphic Image Pocket Notes ($20-$36; graphicimage.com) is a take-anywhere notebook with silver edges, acid-free paper and a flexible cover to keep your life in order “the smart and stylish way.” Graphic Image’s notebooks are leather and they can be personalized.
The last product in the April Pop Sugar Must Have box was this beautifully scented hand soap by Caldrea. Caldrea Rosewater Driftwood Hand Soap ($10.50 for 10.8 oz.; caldrea.com) contains a combination of floral aromas and spicy cedar undertones that leaves hands feeling soft, clean and fragrant. This is a gentle yet hardworking soap free of any harmful chemicals. It contains aloe vera gel, olive oil and essential oils to cleanse and condition and it comes in seven different scents (including this “Rosewater Driftwood” scent).
All in all I think that this month’s Pop Sugar Must Have box was pretty good. I loved the Too Faced eyeshadow, which, at $36, is nearly the cost of the entire subscription box for the month, so the value alone is extremely worth it. I loved the gentle Caldrea soap, it smelled amazing, and I loved the little notebook and shopper. I’m passing the dish towels along to my BFF and her roommate because I know they will put them to use, and the Nature Box mix was okay … definitely packed with healthy, good-for-you stuff, but I just found it to be a little too bland for my taste.
Pop Sugar Must Have is a monthly lifestyle subscription service featuring beauty products, fashion, accessories, home decor, food and more. It costs $39.95 per month with the option of upgrading your subscription and pay every 3, 6 or 12 months for a lower cost. To subscribe click here or visit musthave.popsugar.com for more information!
I just recently discovered Beauty.com and the (super easy) power of buying beauty products with PayPal, so I’ve been doing a lot of shopping through this website and mini-“hauls” such as this one over the last few months. I don’t really consider this a haul … just a few new products, and I’m going to review each one of these products separately in a post of their own, but I did want to write about the free Daryl K. sample bag that Beauty.com is currently sending out with any order over $100.
I just can’t get over how awesome the free sample bags are from this website … they are way better as far as value goes than most of the other “free samples with purchase” gifts I have received after ordering from other beauty retailers, both in-store and online.
Daryl K. Sample Bag Makeup Case — Free Gift With A $100+ Beauty.com Purchase
This is the second sample bag I have received with a Beauty.com order and both of them included an awesomely oversized makeup bag jam-packed with amazing deluxe-sized samples from some of my favorite beauty brands (hardly any single-use packets here). I’m not crazy about the Daryl K. design on this particular makeup bag (above), but it’s such a great size that I will totally put it to use either for storage or for travel. The actual samples contained in the bag are also awesome and I would definitely consider the majority of them to be more travel-size than sample-size.
I’m just going to provide an overview here of the products I bought + the products in the free sample bag and then I’m going to do individual reviews of my full-sized purchases in posts of their own 🙂
Stila Sweet Treat Bronzing Powder
I’ve been meaning to get this cute little bronzer from Stila since I first saw it in the stores a few weeks ago and I’m so glad I finally got it. The colors are great and buildable — I can wear this as light or as dark as I want it, plus the hint of peachy shimmer gives it a little more of a unique identity than your average bronzing powder. Plus, at only $14, it’s SUPER cheap … especially by Stila and “prestige beauty” standards.
Stila Sweet Treat Bronzing Powder ($14 for 0.35 oz.; beauty.com) is a trio of matte and shimmery bronzers, plus a pop of peach, to “deliver a luminous, kissed-by-the-sun glow.” The nine little bronzer “tiles” are formed together to look like a cute chocolate bar. This is the perfect beauty gift for Valentine’s Day, but I hope Stila decides to keep it around all year round because the colors work so well together, especially for my skin. I really like this product a lot better than I thought I would.
I’ve also been meaning to get this new lip balm/tint from Too Faced since it recently came out, so I decided to get it in the pretty coral color, “Coral Pop,” with my Beauty.com mini “haul.” I do have to say — this product takes some getting used to. It stings a lot when you apply it, the sign that it’s “working” (plumping your lips and whatnot), but my problem is that my super dry winter lips are pretty chapped, so this stuff mustttt be applied over a Chapstick or similar lip balm to cut down on the extra sting. I only tried this out once since I got it, and my lips have healed significantly since then, so I’m definitely going to try it out again tomorrow.
Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb in Coral Pop
Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb ($21 for 0.1 oz.; beauty.com) is described as an “ultra-conditioning balm” that combines Too Faced’s best-selling Lip Injection plumping and blood vessel dilating technology with a satin color stain. This lip balm comes in six shades and it is formulated with Vitamins A, C and E, as well as mango butter for extra moisture and a “softer, smoother, plumper pout.”
Urban Decay Naked Lip Gloss in Streak
Another new product on the beauty market that I had been meaning to try is the amazing new Naked lipgloss from Urban Decay. This gloss is awesome — it is extra glossy, but not sticky at all, and the color payoff and staying power is great, especially for just a lipgloss. My favorite part about the new UD gloss is that it has beneficial moisturizing ingredients and it feels super smooth.
Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss ($20 for 0.13 oz.; beauty.com) is described as a “luxe gloss and a rich balm in one” formulated with good-for-your-skin ingredients like Hyaluronic Filling Spheres, vitamin E, avocado oil and shea butter to hydrate and condition lips, along with Rosehip seed oil that provides “an extra hit of vitamins, including vitamin A and vitamin C.”
Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadow in Kitten
Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadow in Metallic Lavender
And the last new product on the beauty market in my mini-haul that I’ve been meaning to try are these foil finish eyeshadows from Stila. I haven’t really used them to their full potential yet (just tried them out quickly so far), but I plan on doing a full review on them this week. I decided to buy two colors, the foil shadow version of Stila’s best-selling “Kitten,” as well as “Metallic Lavender,” so that I can mix them together, instead of just using one color alone or blended with powder shadows (which I intend to do either way).
Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadow ($32 for set of foil shadow, liquid primer and mixing tray; beauty.com) is described as a “cream-to-powder shadow with a multidimensional metallic finish.” This shadow can be built up for a variety of effects, ranging from a “light wash of shimmer to an opaque metallic finish.” It comes with a mini Stay All Day Liquid Eye Primer and a cute little mixing tray.
Dr. Brandt CC Glow With Signature Ruby Crystal CC Cream
This next product is also fairly new — Dr. Brandt’s CC Glow CC Cream. I have had severe dry skin this winter and I wanted to get a new cream that would provide moisture benefits while giving off a dewy-type glow, and this is definitely the perfect CC Cream for that. I absolutely love this product and it looks great alone, for light makeup days, and it also works great as a CC Cream primer underneath my foundation.
Dr. Brandt CC Glow With Signature Ruby Crystal ($39 for 1 oz.; beauty.com) is described as an “all-in-one color correcting and perfecting cream formulated with Ruby Crystal Complex and stabilized Vitamin C.” This CC Cream has eight anti-aging benefits: it illuminates, primes, brightens, hydrates, smoothes, evens skin tone, rejuvenates and provides SPF 30 protection for a “natural, flawless and youthful glow.”
Malin + Goetz Essential Kit
I absolutely fell in love with the Malin + Goetz Detox Face Mask that came in the January Pop Sugar Must Have box, and I wanted to try more products from this brand, so I figured this Essential Kit was the perfect place to start. I can’t get over how well the Malin + Goetz products work, and the brand is quickly climbing to the top of the list of my favorite skincare brands.
The Malin + Goetz Essential Kit ($30 for six different 1-oz. products; beauty.com) includes:
Grapefruit Face Cleanser: A foaming gel cleanser for all skin types that “synthesizes natural grapefruit extracts with nourishing amino acids to gently and thoroughly cleanse, purify, hydrate and balance all skin types.”
Bergamot Body Wash: A foaming cleansing gel that synthesizes natural bergamot with amino acid-based cleansing agents to “gently and effectively” purify and balance all skin types, unlike traditionally harsh detergents. This body wash is “blended to hydrate, rinsing free of residue without irritation, drying or stripping.”
Peppermint Shampoo: A hydrating shampoo that synthesizes natural peppermint extract with amino acid-based cleansing agents to “effectively purify and balance” all hair types. This mildly foaming, residue-free shampoo formula is “blended for frequent use without drying, stripping, irritation or build-up.”
Cilantro Hair Conditioner: A gentle, daily conditioner that “scientifically synthesizes natural cilantro with absorbent fatty acids and fatty alcohols” to effectively hydrate and balance all hair and scalp types.
Vitamin E Face Moisturizer: An oil-free, residue-free moisturizer that “scientifically synthesizes natural vitamins E and B5 with absorbent fatty acids and fatty alcohols.” This moisturizer “gently and effectively hydrates and balances all skin types, unlike traditionally greasy pore-clogging oils, for an intensely nourishing treatment,” while reducing epidermal irritation.
B5 Body Moisturizer: An oil-free, residue-free body moisturizer that “scientifically synthesizes natural vitamin B5 and soothing bergamot extract with absorbent fatty acids and fatty alcohols.” This body moisturizer “effectively hydrates all skin types” and reduces epidermal irritation.
Beauty.com Daryl K. Sample Bag
And now for the sample bag! When I first received a sample bag with my Beauty.com purchase (back in November, I think) I was SHOCKED at how much stuff was in there. So many great products/products I have been meaning to try/products I never heard of in REAL sample sizes. I’m a firm believer that if I’m going to “sample” a product, then there better be enough product in the package for at least more than one use.
I absolutely hate those single-use sample packets, so I was happy to see that Beauty.com sent out yet another awesome sample bag with this most recent purchase, packed with 11(!) sample products. I consider these sizes to be more “travel-sized” than sample-sized, especially the creams and lotions, and even hair products(!), that I can take with me wherever I go. I was also happy to see products with good-for-you ingredients and also some of my favorite brands.
I didn’t take the greatest photos of the actual samples, but I just wanted to give a general idea of what was in the bag. The Beauty.com Daryl K. Sample Bag included:
Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Cream (reg. $55 for 1.7 oz.; beauty.com): An anti-aging, SPF 25 moisturizer that helps improve skin firmness, boosts moisture levels and helps to safeguard skin from aging UV damage, good for all skin types.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum (reg. $79 for 1 oz.; beauty.com): A satiny serum that has been scientifically proven to reduce dark spots in just 4 weeks. This serum corrects existing dark spots, prevents their appearance and boosts the complexion’s radiance for “redensified, moisturized and beautifully radiant” skin. It contains pure Viniferine from grapevine stalks, that has an “exceptional action on radiance, dark spots and wrinkles.”
Bare Minerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener (reg. $22 for 0.18 oz.; beauty.com): An eye-brightening wand that immediately brightens the under eye area and diffuses dark shadows while reducing the appearance of fine lines and dark circles over time.
Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray (reg. $33 for 4 oz.; beauty.com): A prep spray infused with vitamin B6, which absorbs oil, minimizes pores and reduces redness. This spray can be spritzed on any time of day (without messing up your makeup) to hydrate and soften skin with vitamins and antioxidants, or it can be used in the morning to prep and “wake up” skin.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara (reg. $23 for 0.31 oz.; beauty.com): An “amped-up, ultra-black mascara that lengthens, curls and magnifies lashes for an intensified look, proven to increase lash volume by 752% instantly.” This formula is infused with vitamins and emphasizes length and volume, while “conditioning lashes for a dramatic look that won’t dry out, flake or budge.”
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel (reg. $22 for 0.28 oz.; beauty.com): A clear gel “fortified with botanical hair conditioners and essential oils to keep unruly brows in place all day without flaking.” This gel sets and tames “unruly brows” without leaving them stiff, flaky or sticky.
Go Smile Double Action Teeth Whitening System (reg. $89 for six-day supply; beauty.com): A teeth whitening system that “combines two powerful, patent-pending formulas” to “penetrate teeth and effectively lift stains, even from beneath the surface.” This system works “quickly and effectively to make a visible difference in your smile, and with virtually no sensitivity or irritation to teeth and gums.” Safe to use on all dental work.
Phyto Phytolisse Ultra-Glossing Finishing Serum (reg. $30 for 1.7 oz.; beauty.com): A hair serum specially designed “prevent hair from frizzing and instantly restores a smooth, shiny appearance.” This serum is formulated with botanical ingredients that protect hair without weighing it down for silkier, smoother and shinier hair.
H2O+ Targeted Care Hand and Nail Cream (reg. $16 for 6 oz.; ulta.com [I couldn’t find this to purchase on its own at Beauty.com, they just offer it in sets/kits]): A lightweight, non-greasy hand and nail cream that “restores moisture to hardworking hands.” This cream is formulated with silk proteins and vitamin E to nourish nails and cuticles, while moisture-rich marine botanicals “provide deep hydration for visibly smooth skin.”
NUXE Nirvanesque Light (reg. $53 for 1.5 oz.; beauty.com): A cream formulated with Peony and Blue Lotus, designed to “instantly and visibly smooth away wrinkles and fine lines.” The new Light formula contains Rice Powder and Enanthia Chlorantha to mattify skin. This cream leaves skin “de-stressed” with a radiant complexion.
Jurlique Herbal Recovery Antioxidant Gel Mask (reg. $48 at ulta.com; also couldn’t find this specific item on Beauty.com, although it looks like they sell all of the other Jurlique products): A “hydrating and revitalizing high-performance gel mask infused with antioxidant beads that release Vitamin E to help address the first signs of aging and protect the skin against environmental aggressors.” This gel mask nourishes skin and leaves it feeling hydrated and looking radiant.
All products are available at Beauty.com (except for the two sample products that I noted in the post), and the Daryl K. sample bag is currently available with any purchase over $100 at Beauty.com.
SUPERSTAR PRODUCTS are reviews of my favorite products. Most of these items are
products that I have been using religiously for years, and some of them are newer
items that I instantly loved so much that they deserve to be on my Superstar
Favorite Products list :)
Since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, I figured this is the perfect time to do my first Superstar Products post about this prettily-packaged blush from Too Faced. I have a lot of favorite blushes, and I switch them up on an almost-daily basis, but Too Faced recently added two new blushes to their Sweethearts line and I like the blush a lot better now that there is a darker color option “Something About Berry,” which I purchased a few weeks ago. I find that this blush has amazing blending ability on my skin, which makes it a perfect go-to for me.
I own the aforementioned “Something About Berry,” as well as the original, “Candy Glow.” I haven’t used the third Sweethearts shade, the bronze-y “Beach Peach,” just yet because I’m not sure how exactly I would use it and if I would even use it at all. I tend to wear pinks/corals on my cheeks and even though this shade is considered a blush and not a bronzer, I would probably just use it as a bronzer either worn alone or mixed with a darker, more matte shade since I hear this color is very light. I guess that’s why it’s technically a blush, and not a bronzer.
I only took my own photos and swatches of “Something About Berry” for this post because it was still new and looked pretty in the packaging. My “Candy Glow” blush is pretty old (I’m down to just one color left out of three), and, as I said, I don’t have “Beach Peach” yet. So, all other photos are credited to Too Faced and Sephora.
Something About Berry
The packaging for the Sweethearts blushes is super cute and feminine in true Too Faced fashion. I love all the Too Faced packaging — it’s pretty and girly without being too juvenile-looking (in my opinion).
Each Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush ($30 for 0.19 oz.; sephora.com) contains three shades that can be swirled together or applied individually for a “custom flush or highlight.” This blush has a buildable, baked color formula, which allows it to “truly work on all skin tones,” while the multiple shades create “dimensional color” to “provide the look of younger, brighter, healthier skin.”
I have used a lot of blushes that cake up on my skin or just apply too intensely — I always find the blush-buying process to be a little difficult (the same with bronzer), so I end up returning whatever blush I buy about 50% of the time. I was surprised and very pleased when I first tried the Too Faced Sweethearts blush and saw that it blended so perfectly on my skin; it gives my cheeks a glowing (not shimmery) finish and the color is buildable enough to let you create whatever color intensity you prefer.
Something About Berry
This blush also stays put for the duration of my day (with a little help from some setting spray), and it gives off a very pretty glow. I think the colors look a lot more shimmery in the package than they actually are when applied to the skin — they definitely give off more of a glow on my face than the shiny/glitter overload that a lot of other shimmer blushes have. This blush also got very good reviews across the beauty spectrum for the same reasons as the ones that I list here.
Something About Berry
Now, with all that being said, I think that some people found the original color, “Candy Glow” to be too light. I definitely did, and that’s why I was so happy that Too Faced recently released the darker pink/peach/mauve color, “Something About Berry.” What I did like about “Candy Glow,” however, was that I could use the darker color as the actual blush color on the apples of my cheeks and then I would use the lighter colors as a highlight.
Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush in “Something About Berry” (pictured above) is described as a “shimmering mauve pink/golden peach/shimmering magenta pink.” I think that some people found the original color, “Candy Glow” to be too light. I definitely did, and that’s why I was so happy that Too Faced recently released the darker “Something About Berry,” which I’ve been wearing a lot (I have a lot of favorite blushes so I’m always switching them up).
What I did like about “Candy Glow,” however, was that I could use the darker color as the actual blush color on the apples of my cheeks and then I would use the lighter colors as a highlight. “Candy Glow” is described as a “rose pink shimmer/soft coral pink/peachy pink shimmer.”
So, the Sweethearts blushes can almost be like a whole mini face palette, especially when you include the other new shade, the “Beach Peach” bronze-y color, which is described as a “shimmering peach/rosy pink/shimmering light golden bronze.” I haven’t personally used this color yet and I heard it was also on the lighter side, thus making it a blush and not a bronzer, but I totally think you can use it as a bronzer (even though I still have yet to try) and I can definitely see people with lighter skin tones loving this shade.
As with all Too Faced products, the Sweethearts blushes are 100% cruelty-free. 🙂
Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush costs $30 for 0.19 oz. and is available at Sephora, ULTA, TooFaced.com and any other retailer that sells Too Faced cosmetics. Right now, the Too Faced website seems to be currently sold out of the Sweethearts blushes.
1). Marc by Marc Jacobs Bookmarc Heart Notebook ($18; marcjacobs.com): Super cute red notebook with the Marc Jacobs heart logo. I’m writing constantly and go through notebooks like crazy so I’m definitely picking this one up for myself 🙂
2). Elizabeth and James Nirvana White Eau de Parfum Rollerball ($22 for 0.34 oz.; sephora.com) I have to admit, I’ve been a fan of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen since their “Give us a mystery” days. I don’t care what anyone says, I love them, always have and always will, so I was super excited to learn that they had debuted their first-ever fragrances, part of their Elizabeth and James line. I just ordered Nirvana White, but Nirvana Black is also very pretty. The Nirvana White perfume is delicate and feminine with a blend of peony (one of my favorite scents), muguet (Lily of the Valley) and tender musk.
3). Kate Spade New York Fairgrounds Candy Stud Earrings ($48; bloomingdales.com) I was looking up earrings at Bloomingdales.com the other day and came across a bunch of cute new ones by Kate Spade. This specific set is gold-plated in an adorable candy shape. I wear studs more than any other kind of earring so I’m definitely going to be buying these and/or the pink heart pair (#10).
4). Modadorn Accessories Nautical Lightweight Chevron Infinity Scarf ($9.99; amazon.com) I was actually searching for “pink scarves” on Amazon when I came across this super affordable one in my favorite chevron pattern. This scarf comes in 20 different colors (color pictured is “Pink/Ivory“) and it actually got really high reviews — Amazon customers said this scarf was “perfect” and even though it is sheer, there is a lot of fabric, so it’s not chintzy-looking.
5). Freshware 6-Cavity Silicone Mini Rose Cake and Soap Mold ($9.95; hsn.com) I came across this baking mold accidentally and I’m so glad I did — impulse buy, much? Well, I would say 90% of my buying is on impulse so it’s not like that makes a difference anyway. This amazingly adorable silicone mold creates mini rose-shaped cakes, muffins, brownies, corn breads and even DIY soaps. I love it!
6). Too Faced Candy Bar Palette & Phone Case ($25; ulta.com) I’ve been meaning to get this little two-in-one palette/iPhone case since it came out, so I finally ordered it. I was putting it off for so long because I’m really not a huge fan of Too Faced’s eyeshadows. I love a lot of their other products, but their eyeshadows just aren’t my favorite. The biggest selling point for me is the awesome, exclusive candy bar iPhone case which I can’t wait to use.
7). Babycakes Nonstick Waffle Maker ($37.99; Amazon.com) Ahhh I love this! If only I made waffles more often … well, maybe I will if I buy it. It’s a hot pink mini waffle makers and it includes 50 wooden sticks for waffles … on a stick! Awesome!
8). Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush in Candy Glow ($30 for 0.19 oz.; sephora.com) I’m in love with the Too Faced Sweethearts blushes and they’re the perfect Valentine’s Day beauty gift. I find these blushes to blend extremely well and I love the color selection. Too Faced also just came out with two new colors — in addition to “Candy Glow” there is now a darker pink/mauve shade, “Something About Berry,” as well as a bronze-y shade, “Beach Peach.” I own Candy Glow and Something About Berry and I’m pretty sure I’ll be picking up Beach Peach sometime soon.
9). Chloé ‘Roses de Chloé’ Eau de Toilette Spray ($95-$120 for 1.7-2.5 oz.; nordstrom.com) The original Chloé scent is my go-to perfume, and this new version plays off the original so I had to pick it up. I think I might actually like this one better. It contains beautiful notes of fresh cut roses, Bergamot, Rose essence, Magnolia Accord, White musk and Amber.
10). Kate Spade New York Be Mine Enamel Stud Earrings ($48; bloomingdales.com) The last item is another pair of Kate Spade earrings. There are so many more that are really cute but I couldn’t list them all so I just chose two. These are also gold-plated with hot pink enamel hearts. I sense another impulse buy coming on right now.
Happy Valentine’s Day! And remember, it’s okay to indulge and spoil yourself every once in awhile. Especially for those of you who hate this “made up” holiday 🙂
